I master the machine!
I have just been out for a ride on what I hope becomes the latest trend or activity to hit Yangshuo.
The Segway is a green, eco friendly people transporter that is quite novel to ride and perfect for a visitor to get a great intro to the delights of Yangshuo and surrounds.
After I managed to stop my legs from shaking and causing a whole raft of uncontrolled movement in the first 30 seconds it all became much, much easier.
These groovy machines are fun and extremely easy to ride, providing a very different experience to cycling or walking when zooming along the banks of the Li River at speeds of up to 20 kph. I for one am looking forward to their introduction on a few local tours into the countryside.

Yes it is a pretty amazing place!
Each season has its benefits however i think spring is when the countryside is most beautiful and autumn has the best weather.
